BABYSITTING AT PACT MEETINGS

PACT, Parents of Autistic Children Together, ASA Chapter #532, is going to have a trial period offering free babysitting at PACT Meetings.  The following guidelines are listed below, so that PACT members know the limitations and expectations for this new trial service.

*   Any PACT member who is interested in the babysitting services must have a reservation in order to bring their child to a PACT meeting.  Reservations must be emailed or phoned in to Catherine Medovich at CMedo@aol.com   856-235-3540 x103 (no reservations will be taken on the PACT hotline) at least one week prior to meeting date.  NO exceptions.  Parents will be required to sign a standard babysitting waiver upon check-in.

* A maximum of 10 children (including neurotypical siblings) will be permitted.   PACT will hire 2 Durand staff to provide babysitting services on meeting nights.  Meetings will start at 7 p.m. and the babysitting service will end at 9 p.m.

* Parents must remain at the meeting while their child is at the babysitting service.  Parents are required to change their child's diaper.  Children are required to remain in the babysitting room and are not allowed to roam the Durand building during the meeting.  If there are any problems, the babysitter will come and get you.  No children will be allowed in the meeting room.

After the trial period the service will be evaluated and the future of the service will be determined by the PACT board.
